The Bible describes David as a “Man after God's own Heart” - what a man this must have been! We'll discover the life of David as it comes to life in one of the most amazing productions ever at the Sight & Sound Theater in Lancaster, Pa. From being a lowly shepherd to the slaying of the giant Goliath, to becoming king, to his grief from the loss of his son by Bathsheba, to fathering Solomon – the wisest man that ever lived. The story is riveting from start to finish – this is a production you won't want to miss!
Day One: We'll board our late model deluxe motorcoach this morning and depart western North Carolina traveling northeast via Fancy Gap, Roanoke and the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We arrive in Lancaster, Pa. early this evening for a two night stay at the renowned Eden Resort – one of the finest hotels anywhere! Dinner is include at the hotel this evening.
Day Two: Following an included delicious breakfast at the resort, our local guide will join us this morning for a tour of the Amish farmlands and to tell us about the lifestyle of this fascinating sect of people – it's springtime, so be on the lookout for horses and buggies and farmers working their fields. We'll have time to visit the quilt shop and other stores before heading to Sight & Sound for the production of “The Story of David”.
